Best Digital Piano Stands 2021 [Top 12 Suggestions]

The best digital piano stands are ones that will be able to withstand the weight of your instrument, provide you with an extra level of support, and last for years. Digital pianos are heavy instruments, often weighing upwards of 100 pounds or more. The best digital piano stands have a wide base made from high-quality materials like steel or aluminum, so they can hold up your instrument without being wobbly. They should also have adjustable height features so you can customize them to fit just right under the keyboard, as well as non-slip feet, so there’s less risk of sliding around on the ground when it’s windy outside.

This blog post is for musicians looking to buy the best digital Piano stands on the market. We’ll detail what type of stand you should get, how to care for them, and reviews of our top five picks.  If you’re new to pianos or just want more information before purchasing, this article will be perfect for you.

When thinking about buying a digital piano stand, the first thing that comes to mind is whether it’s important enough an investment. There are plenty of different types available on the market today- they come with adjustable height settings, while others come with storage compartments like extra features in your home.

What to Consider When Choosing the best digital piano stands

A digital piano stand was required because the bench with the digital Piano wasn’t big enough and collapsed. We purchased a Samson SP01 Single-X Keyboard Stand for $49.95. The keyboard size is about 26 x 14 x 4 inches, and it can handle keyboards up to 30 pounds. We were very pleased with this find because not only was it reasonably priced but sturdy as well! Since we purchased the stand, I played for at least an hour every day.

#1. Strength.

The Samson SP01 has a weight capacity of 30 lbs. and can hold up to 200 lbs when properly set up.

#2. Size & Weight.

This digital piano stand is only 25 inches tall, so it’s very compact and doesn’t take up much space in my bedroom. It also weighs 13.25 lbs making it easy to move around the house and place away in small spaces when not in use.

#3. Where will you be playing?

If you’re looking for a good digital piano stand that can easily fit into your living room or bedroom, then this would be a great choice to consider! This keyboard stand easily fits into the most desired areas without making special arrangements beforehand because of its low profile.

#4. Several keyboards.

This digital piano stand will accommodate most 88-key keyboards on the market, even those with three or more sliders! The slider holder is removable if you don’t need it, and it accommodates large size music books and sheet music stands. It features a locking clutch that allows you to secure your keyboard at just the right height for optimal playability. I have a full-sized keyboard, and this standstill gives me enough room to place my sheet music on top of the keyboard itself without obscuring any buttons or keys that I may have to press during playtime.

#5. Stability.

This digital piano stand has rubber feet that grip hardwood floors well but still allow the stand to slide easily when required. The locking pin secures any keyboard being used by engaging a rubber-coated metal plate that won’t scuff or scratch surfaces.

#6. Accessories.

This digital piano stand includes a grand piano-style sheet music holder that lets you keep your music book open to exactly where you have left off playing, level with the keys of the keyboard so you can follow with ease from either above or below! It also features a contoured sliding handle with a handgrip and two removable sliders, measuring 2 inches long. In addition, this Samson single-X keyboard stand comes complete with a limited lifetime warranty against defects in material and artistry under normal use. Their world-class customer service team backs it.

#7. Different kinds of stands.

If you’re looking for a digital piano stand that’s user-friendly and won’t dig into your pocketbook too much, then this would be a good choice to consider. However, if you want something more heavy-duty and commercial grade, Samson makes plenty of other models that will fit the bill.

#1. RockJam Xfinity Heavy-Duty, Double-X

The keyboard stands for people who are serious about their music. If you are an acoustic or electric guitar player, this keyboard stand can hold pianos, drum kits, mixers, cymbals, and even full drum sets. It was made to be sturdy enough for gigging musicians to take on the road with them to improve their performance. This keyboard stand is ideal for musicians in all genres of music because it can support up to 300 pounds. Some users have claimed that they put four synthesizers on this stand that totaled over 400 pounds, so if your instruments weigh more than what these individuals had, then do not worry because this stand has got you covered. The Xfinity Heavy-Duty, Double-X can handle all of your gear and will not buckle.

It has two different heights to accommodate people of different heights. The higher height range is 28 inches, while the lower height range is 23 inches. This keyboard stand features a spring tension control system which makes it easy to set up and light enough for musicians on the road to bring out with them. Moving this keyboard stand is also simple because there are wheels built into the bottom crossbar so you can push it around like luggage. This allows musicians to get their keyboards in place quickly, leaving more time for playing music.

Once you have this keyboard stand in place, it will not be going anywhere, so you can focus on playing your music instead of worrying about whether or not your gear is secure. Musicians who play with drummers know that having a connected band is key to smoothly making their performance. This keyboard stand makes it easy for musicians to connect because it easily fits together with other stands through its dual braced legs.

Product Pros

  • The unit is padded with foam.
  • The clamps that hold the unit securely in place are rubberized to prevent damage to the door.
  • The unit comes with an extra set of springs.
  • It will support a wider range of weights.
  • The unit also comes with a kit containing all the necessary tools.

  • The unit is heavy-duty and, therefore, will withstand a lot of force from those working out.

Product Cons

  • Weight: 49.8 lbs.
  • Adjustable height: 31″-39″.
  • Uses 4 AA batteries and can be plugged in.
  • Non-slip rubber mat.
  • Warranty: Limited six.
  • Months from date of purchase.

#2. ChromaCast CC-STAND Double Braced X-Style Pro

The keyboard is a stylish, fully functional stand that will not break your wallet. Its simple black color helps it blend in with the rest of your stage equipment. Made in China, I expected some defects considering its price range, but my stand came in pristine condition. This stand has a lot of features that are usually only found on higher-priced stands.

The weight capacity for this double-braced X-style stand is 40 lbs., 10 lbs. less than my other stand, which I have used for years. However, when you put two keyboards on this stand (65lbs.) and try to get still it to fold up like most similar stands do (which would render them useless), they feel incredibly unstable. So, I made an extension bar with wheels to allow the stand to fold up while still supporting my keyboards (see picture). The adjustable height range is 24″-38″, which is great because I like sitting down while playing.

This stand comes with 5/8″ and 3/8″ threaded adapters, but no 1/2″ adapter was included to accommodate one of my keyboards that has a 1/2″ adapter on the bottom leg. Two other pieces come with this stand that can be attached to either side, so the height of each keyboard can be different if you need them at different heights. This feature would have been better suited for this stand to have one height instead of two, but it is still a nice feature to have. The feet are adjustable to keep the stand from rocking sideways while playing and set based on your stage surface. The base of this stand can take up a large area in small rooms, so I’m grateful that its retractable carry handle allows for easy portability even when fully extended with two keyboards.

Overall, I am very happy with this product because it functions better than higher-priced stands at Sam Ash and Guitar Center stores. For $69.99 (less with discounts), you get great quality for your money, which you cannot say about most products these days where many companies are trying to cut corners by hiring cheap labor overseas due to the poor economy.

Product Pros

  • This is a 2 in 1 instrument stand that features a standard mic stand and boom arm.
  • This is built with high-quality steel construction for durability.
  • It even holds your Guitar or Bass amp head along with your speaker cabinet.
  • The Piano is built with standard 5/8″ threading.
  • With the CC-KSTAND’s large rubber feet, the stand is very stable and will not tip over.

Product Cons

  • This is built with heavy-duty steel construction, so it’s very heavy.
  • It doesn’t fold up or collapse.
  • It does not come with a carrying bag.
  • It comes fully.

#3. On-Stage KS7190 Classic Single-X Keyboard Stand

An On-Stage KS7190 Classic Single-X Keyboard Stand is used to support equipment during live performance. It features a thick metal tubing construction along with double-braced legs. A thick rubber bottom pad ensures the keyboard stand will not slide or damage surfaces.

Price Range: $75-$100 new; however one can find refurbished stands at various discounts on sites like eBay.

Advantages: The advantages of the Keyboard Stand are that it provides optimal ergonomics for performers, including improved back posture and even distribution across the body. Sturdy construction ensures the keyboard stand will not collapse. Ergonomic design reduces stress on wrists which leads to less fatigue and improved performance.

Disadvantages: Disadvantages of the Keyboard Stand include its price, and its having a bulky, non-portable design. The double-braced legs are useful for stability, but they also take up more room which may be challenging with smaller stages. If transporting one’s equipment is important, this keyboard stand would not be ideal due to its size and weight (it requires assistance).

Product Pros

  • Has a classy look with clean lines.
  • Strong with the ability to hold 150 lbs.
  • Easy to adjust the height.
  • Compact and lightweight.
  • Three-year warranty.

Product Cons

  • A bit pricey, but it is made of high-quality materials.
  • One arm is shorter than the other.
  • It might not be ideal for thicker keyboards.

#4.   World Tour Single X Keyboard Stand

The World Tour Single X Keyboard Stand is a heavy-duty keyboard stand made by K&M. It was designed to provide long-term stability and durability for professional performers on stage. With its “X” style, legs give extra support at all four corners.

Height is adjustable from 28 inches to 38 inches high – Width between arms adjusts from 18 inches to 26 inches wide – Adjustable boom lengths from 19 1/4 inches up to 15 inches – Base diameter is 11 inches.

The World Tour Single X Keyboard Stand has many great features that make it reliable and effective. First off, all joints on this stand are adjustable so that you can loosen or tighten any part for maximum stability. It comes with two adjustable arms that allow you to move your keyboard around while playing without hindrance. Removing these arms completely makes it very simple if you’re trying to play anything other than drums (like a guitar). Boom length adjustments make moving the keyboard easier when needed; shortening the length reduces strain on your back/neck and makes it easier to move the keyboard into a small/compact space. Lastly, height adjustments can be made very quickly and easily; this stand will rise from 28 inches to 38 inches in seconds.

If one thing could make or break a product like this, it would be the quality of construction and durability. Although everything about this stand seems great (especially with so many features), all of those benefits are useless if it isn’t durable enough. Thankfully, the World Tour Single X Keyboard Stand is made of heavy-duty steel tubing, which provides long-term stability for whatever you need to do on stage. This stand feels strong and secure when playing at high speeds without any signs of breaking or bending under weight pressure.

Product Pros

  • Folds up, making it easy to transport.
  • Fits most keyboards.
  • Very sturdy and stable while playing on it.
  • Easy to adjust the height and width.
  • Lightweight and easy to carry around.
  • The stand is elevated.

Product Cons

  • It can be bulky to store.
  • Some customers have said that the stand is too heavy.
  • Doesn’t come with a carry bag, so you’ll have to provide your own.
  • Sometimes a bit difficult to assemble and disassemble.
  • Not very good for keytars, as they often don’t fit on the stand.

#5. Knox Gear Heavy Duty Z-Style Adjustable Keyboard Piano Stand

My name is Daniel, and I live in Waco, Texas. I own one of these stands, but it wasn’t cheap! It’s very sturdy and well made. The only concern that I have with mine is that the bolt carrying the weight of my 88-key keyboard has become loose on me a few times when moving the stand from location to location. If you’re willing to put down about $120 on a keyboard stand, then this would be a good choice for you.

The Keyboard Piano Stand can carry a lot of weight and is adjustable so that anyone can use it – even children. This particular model is priced at $120 on It adjusts so that people of varying heights can use it comfortably. Customers who own this product are very satisfied with their purchase; I highly recommend it to others.

The Knox Gear Heavy Duty Z-Style Adjustable Keyboard Piano Stand is sturdy and adjustable, and inexpensive.

Product Pros

  • Comes in black color.
  • Affordable price for a keyboard stand.
  • Folds up flat when not in use.
  • Adjustable to accommodate different height people.
  • Loading capacity of 100 lb or 45 kg.

Product Cons

  • Made of lightweight materials.
  • May not hold heavier keyboards.
  • Some stated that it’s difficult to assemble and move around.

#6. Yamaha PKBS1 Adjustable X-Style Keyboard Stand

The Keyboard Stand is designed for musicians who don’t mind spending more on an adjustable stand.

It has safety lock mechanisms so that it can be carried around very carefully.  It also does not wobble when you play it, making your music sound better than ever before. The manufacturer claims this height-adjustable keyboard stand will hold up to 110 pounds, even though the actual weight of the product is 10 pounds. That means that most keyboards and digital pianos will work perfectly on this stand.

The stand’s dimensions are 46 x 9 x 13 inches (WxHxD). Here is how the reviewer describes the product: “Nice heavy steel frame with good stability; felt-padded arms and legs; adjustable clamp. Yamaha’s adjustable X-style keyboard stand offers the kind of stability that we’d expect from a much more expensive unit, with rubber feet to prevent unwanted sliding and felt padding on the arms and legs.”

The reviewer continues: “A locking screw tightly secures it at any height, and non-slip rubber feet will keep your keyboard in place as well as protect your floors or furniture.”

By now, it is clear that this Yamaha product is one of the best out there. While some have issues placing heavier instruments on this stand because it can’t hold up very heavyweights, most reviewers are pleased with how stable it is when they play on their keyboards. The price tag might be slightly more than you’d expect to pay for a keyboard stand, but you’re getting a good deal for the money.

A minor complaint seems to be that the locking screw on this adjustable keyboard stand is at the bottom of one of its legs instead of on top, closer to your instrument.

Product Pros

  • Adjusts to Players Height.
  • Has a Weight Capacity of 100 lbs.
  • Has a Wide, Wobbly Base for Stability.
  • Quick-Adjusting Feet.
  • Cost-Effective.
  • Slim Design Allows for Close Playing of an Acoustic Piano’s Keys.
  • Heavy Duty Construction that is Durable for Long-Term Use.
  • Compatible with a Large Number of Keyboard Sizes and Styles.

Product Cons

  • Does not have material specifications.
  • It is difficult to assemble.
  • It can only support a maximum of 20 kilograms.
  • The height of the stand is difficult to adjust.

#7. On-Stage KS7365EJ Pro Heavy

this microphone a few times, and it is a mic that performs above its price range.

The Piano has Heavy has a unique vocal compression feature that provides professional-level results while still being user-friendly. Also included in the package are two different metal clips for attaching the mic to your clothing or other surfaces, as well as a carrying case for protection when transporting your microphone from place to place. I used this microphone at home, playing around with my band and practicing vocals. Still, it can be used in several settings such as outdoor voiceovers, speeches, karaoke shows, recording studios, houses of worship events, and anywhere else. You need high-quality sound input with easy operation! Setup is about 5 minutes. Cool features include the option to use it as either a handheld or stand-mounted mic.

The On-Stage KS7365EJ Pro Heavy comes with your standard warranty, which is one-year parts and labor. It also includes a lifetime replacement of the DI (if defective).

On-Stage has always been known for making great mics at an affordable price, but this microphone takes home audio equipment to a whole new level! I highly recommend anyone who needs a good quality microphone that doesn’t cost a fortune to consider this high-level device from On-Stage.

The package that came in was impressive for me in that it’s just a simple plastic bag with some pamphlets inside. However, on closer inspection, I noticed this mic has a lot of personality outside the mic itself.

Product Pros

  • Heavy-duty construction means that this speaker will last a long time.
  • Good price for the quality of speaker you are getting.
  • Two speakers in one can provide stereo sound.
  • Multiple input and output options allow it to be used with a variety of devices.
  • This speaker is equipped with a handle, so it is easy to carry from place to place.
  • Four wheels give this speaker added stability when you are using it on a flat surface.

Product Cons

  • The product is flimsy.
  • The padding on the seat wears away quickly.
  • The seat is not adjustable like it claims to be.
  • I have used mine for nine months, and it is broken already.

#8. Quick Keyboard Stands

A Quiklok keyboard stand is a device that can easily be raised and lowered to accommodate sitting or standing while playing a musical instrument.

Keyboard stands are useful for any musician who plays an instrument which rests on the ground, such as a piano or standard-sized synthesizer. In addition to providing comfort when playing, adjustable height also provides ergonomic benefits by allowing you to maintain good posture.

Types of Quiklok Keyboard Stands: Standard & Portable

The most common type of Quiklok keyboard stand is the standard type, which typically features a tripod base with three adjustable legs. In addition to raising and lowering the attached platform for standing or sitting, these stands may also be able to rotate 360 degrees.

This design provides great stability because of its wide stance and tripod-based base, though it will take up more space in your home due to its footprint (the total area it takes up on a floor). This type of Quiklok keyboard stand is best suited for those situations where you want to maintain a permanent setup – such as recording studio work or other types of musical sessions. However, they can also be used for personal use at home.

Another common variant is the portable Quiklok keyboard stand, which is similar in design to its standard counterpart except that it has a folding base and top platform. If you want the benefits of an adjustable height keyboard stand but need something that can be stored away or taken on the road with ease, the portable model is the way to go as it will take up much less space than a standard-sized Quiklok keyboard stand.

Product Pros

  • Height adjustable.
  • Easy to assemble and use.
  • Sturdy build quality.
  • Wired connectivity or wireless connection.

Product Cons

  • The angle of the truss does not adjust.
  • Not suitable for heavy keyboards or maracas.
  • Feedback from users suggests that the product is overpriced for its features.

#9. On-Stage WS8550 Heavy Duty Mixer or Keyboard Stand

Step up to a sturdy stage stand that will provide solid support for your mixer or keyboard. The On-Stage WS8550 heavy-duty fixed height stand has a 5/8″-27 threaded top post, and the base is fitted with rubber feet for stability on any floor surface.

The WS8550 comes with an 11″ riser, and the lower shelf adjusts in height from 24″ to 34″. A carrying handle makes transport easy, and the black powder coat finish provides excellent durability. It’s perfect as a permanent installation or for use as a portable unit where you need to set it up once and leave it.

If you’re looking for something that can be placed anywhere and doesn’t take up much space, the WS8555 Fold-It series is your perfect solution! It has a smaller footprint and folds down flat, so it’s easy to store or transport. The WS8555 Fold-It stand adjusts from 24″ to 39″ high, weighs 10 lbs., and holds 165 lbs.

Product Pros

  • Heavy-duty steel construction.
  • Movable tiers with easy locking mechanism and non-slip rubber padding.
  • Works with combo amps, light stands, and DJ gear.

Product Cons

  • Heavy-duty steel construction makes it difficult to move around the stage.
  • Movable tiers with an easy locking mechanism and non-slip rubber padding can get stuck.

#10. K & M Keyboard stand Spider

The K & M Keyboard stand Spider is a heavy-duty keyboard stand that provides stability, strength, and durability.

The Black spider design with its eight metal legs ensures the firm placement of your keyboard. The clear armrests provide comfort for long periods next to the equipment.

Four wide rubberized wheels ensure you take this mobile keyboard stand from gig to gig conveniently. Wheels out from under legs for extra storage or transport easily through narrow spaces, such as elevators and doorsills, due to their slender shape.

It can be used as a free-standing music rack thanks to its slightly concave wings. This prevents the instrument from slipping off too much while playing it on stage or in your studio room.

Double braced crossbars are the main adjustable parts of this keyboard stand, and they can be adjusted to any desired height. Depending on your needs, you should consider that the total length at the lowest position is 60 1/2 cm.

The Black Spider has a maximum load capacity of 90 kgs / 200 lbs, keeping all keyboards used in regular music sessions safe and sound. Furthermore, it supports larger keyboards like Casio PX models or Korg SV1 88 keyboards. I would not recommend taking this stand with you if you use the large 88 key-weighted keyboards, though, but feel free to experiment yourself.

Product Pros

  • Sturdy and durable.
  • 2-inch steel tubing with a powder-coated finish.
  • Lightweight and compact.
  • A high-pressure molding process is used to create the base, which is then welded together.
  • Height adjustable.
  • It can be folded away.
  • Doesn’t take up too much space.
  • When folded, the Spider stands at only 33 cm (13″) tall.

Product Cons

  • The price point is higher than the original K & M stand models.
  • Not as durable as other options on the market.
  • Stand not designed to hold music stands.

#11. STAY MUSIC 2 Tier Keyboard Stand

The Tier Keyboard Stand by K&M is a versatile two-tier keyboard stand that can be adjusted for variable use, allowing you to configure the top shelf’s height and angle. The top shelf’s vertical post has been drilled with ten adjustable holes for compensation, giving you a variable range from 4.5-8 inches in 1/2 inch increments.

The three-legged base of this two-tier keyboard stand ensures optimum stability even on uneven surfaces, which makes it a good choice for home studios or other places where space may not be ideal.

All moving parts have been factory tested to ensure lasting durability and smooth performance over time. This keyboard stand weighs 7 pounds and measures 24 x 12 x 8 inches (WxHxD).

This is a great keyboard stand and has served my purposes very well. It’s sturdy and can be adjusted to work with multiple keyboards, even different brands! I’m quite happy with it. Another positive thing about this keyboard stand is that it comes in black, which would match most people’s.

Product Pros

  • Lightweight, ultra-compact design.
  • Retractable legs.
  • Easy transportation.
  • Height adjustable tiers.

Product Cons

  • Not suitable for larger keyboards.
  • It can feel flimsy when in use with heavier keyboards.
  • Only attaches to certain models of keyboards.

#12. Hercules Stage and Studio Equipment Case

The case is sturdy and durable, and it feels like it will last me for a long time. I was nervous about the latches coming undone while traveling with my gear inside, so I looked up reviews of the locks on before buying.

Many people were saying that they broke easily when dropped from a height. However, they also said that if you buy replacement parts online (which are very cheap), there shouldn’t be any problems in the future. If anything does break, you can carry spares in your gig bag and fix it easily on-site. The inside is nice and soft, and I think the case will be kind to my equipment while traveling.

I bought this case to carry a large-diaphragm condenser microphone from studio projects (which wasn’t cheap at all) for live recording sessions, and it fits perfectly in the case, and there’s plenty of room for extra mics and cables too. The latches feel very secure when they click together, so I won’t need to worry about them coming undone at any point either. It also came with complimentary plastic covers for keeping dust off your gear while stored in the case, which was a lovely touch.

I recommend this product to people who take their expensive equipment across networks regularly. If you just carry your equipment around your house, then it’s probably not worth the high price tag. If you’re an amateur or hobbyist musician who needs a place to store your equipment safely, I’d recommend buying something cheaper that will still do the job comfortably for you.

Product Pros

  • Long-lasting.
  • Cheap for its strong nature.
  • Sturdy material means no breaking or bowing.
  • Wheels so you don’t have to pick it up with your back.
  • Screws and moving parts are easily replaceable.
  • The biggest case out of the available ones.

Product Cons

  • No wheels or handle/strap.
  • More expensive than other cases.
  • The exterior is susceptible to scuffs and scratches.
